There’s a lot going on around Baytown this Saturday.
In the morning, the 58th annual Highlands Jamboree will kick off early with a 5k fun run/walk, followed by a parade and fair. Baytown Gentle Dental and Awesome Angels, Inc. will be teaming up to offer free dental treatments for at least 100 people. Registration for Free Dental Day opens at 8am. Baytown Christian Academy’s fall festival begins at 9:30. There will also be a family camping basics activity at the Baytown Nature Center at 10am.
Not a morning person? Grito Fest starts at 4:30 in the afternoon and will feature hours of live music and other fun. Or enjoy some artwork for free at the Opening Reception of the NSA’s 30th annual Juried National Art Show at the Art Center of Baytown, from 4pm until 8pm.
Meanwhile, Royal Purple Raceway will be hosting the Lone Star 600 dirt track endurance race, where you can also find a BBQ cookoff and music. This is also the final weekend to see Other Desert Cities at the Baytown Little Theater.
