Last night kicked off the city of Baytown’s two day Fourth of July celebration at Bicentennial Park. Here are some highlights.

There were many vendors on site and food trucks with funnel cakes and lots of other munchies. Lee College had a booth to promote their technical programs. The kids activities and games included bubble wearing sports, carnival style games, photos with an African watusi, petting baby peacocks and chicks, and bungee trampolines.

Gary-Michael Dahl performed, and at eight 38 Special took the stage and played many classic songs. Here is some of the crowd that turned up for the show:

Today’s activities will begin at four, with the Texas Avenue Band performing at 4:30 and the July 4th parade taking place at 5:30. Tonight’s show will feature Hill Country Jane, and headliner Clay Walker going on at 8:00, followed by a fireworks display around 9:30. More info here.
